Meet Dr. Rampton

Dr. Clark Rampton, a native of Kaysville, received his undergraduate B.A. degree from the University of Utah, where he graduated with honors in biology.  He went on to earn his dental degree at the University of Southern California, widely considered to be one of the premier dental schools in the nation.  He graduated in the top of his class, and was honored by being elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society.  After obtaining his dental degree, Dr. Rampton finalized his formal education by completing a residency program and specialty training in orthodontics, also at USC.

Proud to carry on a family orthodontic legacy, Dr. Rampton joined the practice of his father in Kaysville in 1981.  He immediately took on the added challenge of becoming board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.  This distinction is only available to qualified specialists, and it is attained by about 1 in 5 orthodontists nationwide.  More recently, in 2003, Dr. Rampton voluntarily completed optional re-certification examinations with the American Board of Orthodontics, which is a further achievement that very few orthodontists have accomplished.

In 1996, Dr. Rampton was elected President of the Utah Association of Orthodontists.  In addition to this Association, he maintains active memberships with many other prestigious orthodontic and dental organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, The Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists, The American Dental Association, and the Utah Dental Association.  Dr. Rampton also was principally involved in the establishment of the Northern Utah Orthodontic Study Group.

Dr. Rampton has an ongoing commitment to excellence, as evidenced by his board re-certification, his constant participation in continuing education, and his willingness to learn and adopt new “cutting edge” advancements into his practice.  He maintains one of the most highly trained and experienced staff in the state of Utah, and together with them, he dedicates his practice to his patients and their families, giving premium quality care and delivering the finest possible results.  Dr. Rampton is also strongly involved in church and community service, and for leisure, he enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in activities such as boating, water and snow skiing, hunting, fishing, and gardening.
